As you can tell by the white bracelet.... the doctors and nurses were kind enough to let me out of the psych wing for two days so I could perform.
Maybe not nine-bazillion... but it sure FELT LIKE IT.
St. Joe Michigan Venetian festival. It's the fourth year for my daughter to perform, and we usually do a few duets.
She had kind of a weird location, wedged between a radio station live remote area and an Army presentation, but it was one of the walks from the beer garden to the midway, so we made our best of it.
It was in the 90's both days, so the sweat was just raining off of us. I went through 5 shirts in 2 days.
I also ran sound for a 40 person youth choir in our canopied area. You can't tell from the pics but I was running a few thousand watts of power, and had a small tower on each side of the area with 400watt 12" speakers and 18" subwoofers.
I wasn't the one taking the pics, or I would have gotten a wide sweeping pic so you could see all the other things around us and all the bikini-clad girls walking down to the beach.

Sounds awesome, and like a good time, despite the heat and all that
now I gotta leave before I start saying stuff about your daughter... *runs*
i'll say something about her daughter, I'm sure she already knows it but she has a cool dad.

heh. my mom lives in St. Joseph, MI. Right near the fairgrounds on Lions Park Drive. She went into Chicago this past weekend just to avoid the Venitian crowds...
cuz, I guess, chicago has less crowds
Wait... that's your daughter? I thought they were in the 7 - 11 range...
How old are you man?

That thing is getting crazy. We refuse to go anymore...
I read something that said the average amount spent by a group of three is $30.....
... I laughed my ass off.
I think my wife and I spent over $150 on food and drinks alone (well... drinks, one hamburger, and a plate of home made chips ), and I think my girls spent $30-50 each.
